La Vie Hotels & Resorts moves into Cairns
30 July 2026: La Vie Hotels & Resorts, today announced it has appointed to manage Cairns Harbourside Hotel, a 173-room property on the Cairns Esplanade overlooking Trinity Bay.
Set across landscaped tropical grounds with direct Esplanade frontage, Cairns Harbourside Hotel features 173 guest rooms and suites with private balconies, an outdoor pool, flexible event spaces catering for up to 300 guests across the property, and an on-site restaurant and bar.
The appointment builds on a period of sustained growth for La Vie, which has expanded its managed portfolio across Queensland and beyond over the past year, including the Mercure Townsville, the recent opening of Holiday Inn Townsville and the announcement of Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort & Spa as well as Westin Gold Coast in partnership with Marriott International.
Cairns is serviced by Cairns International Airport, offering direct flights to key domestic markets including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Perth, alongside a growing international network. Current direct international routes include Tokyo and Osaka, Singapore, Auckland and Christchurch, Denpasar and Nadi, with a new Hong Kong service from Cathay Pacific, Finnair and Swiss International Air Lines launching in December 2026.
