La Vie Hotels & Resorts strengthens Pacific platform with key appointments
18 August 2026: La Vie Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its pacific corporate platform with the appointment of several experienced hospitality professionals across marketing, sales, technology, procurement, people and culture, revenue and finance.
The appointments follow a period of significant growth for La Vie, including the recent opening and signings of Le Méridien Lindeman Island Resort & Spa, The Westin Gold Coast, Holiday Inn Townsville and Cairns Harbourside Hotel, further expanding the company’s presence across Queensland and the wider Pacific region.

The appointments include – Top – Left to right
- Katie Schenken – Director of Marketing
- Georgia Mayne – Director of People & Culture
- Robert Mulley – Director of Information Technology
- Amy Cao – Director, Capital Projects & Sourcing
- Georgina Williams – Director of Sales (portfolio)
- Julio Gomez – Financial Controller
- Pooja Sharma – Revenue & Distribution Manager
The newly created and expanded roles will support La Vie’s growing portfolio across the Pacific, adding another layer of specialist expertise to the company’s established regional platform.
As La Vie continues to expand, the appointments will provide its hotels and owners with deeper, market-focused support across the key disciplines that directly influence commercial performance, operational efficiency and the overall guest experience.
Jerry Xu, Founder and CEO of La Vie Hotels & Resorts, said the investment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its capabilities ahead of its next phase of growth.
“As an independent hotel management company, our success is ultimately measured by the performance we deliver for our owners,” Xu said.
“La Vie has established a proven track record of improving hotel performance, successfully transitioning properties and creating long-term value for our partners. As our Pacific portfolio continues to grow, it is important that we invest ahead of that growth and ensure our hotels have access to strong, specialised support across every critical area of the business.
“These appointments add another layer of expertise to our platform and significantly strengthen the level of support we can provide to our properties. Each of these leaders brings valuable experience in their respective discipline and will play an important role in preparing La Vie for its next stage of rapid growth across the Pacific.”
The expanded Australian team will work closely with La Vie’s operational and global leadership, providing hands-on support to individual hotels while strengthening commercial strategy, technology, talent development, financial governance and operational delivery across the portfolio.
The appointments reinforce La Vie’s owner-centric operating model, combining the responsiveness and flexibility of an independent hotel management company with the systems, specialist expertise and corporate support expected from a larger platform.
“With a strong pipeline and increasing interest from owners and global hotel brands, we remain focused on building a scalable platform without losing the agility, accountability and entrepreneurial approach that differentiate La Vie,” Xu added.
“Growth is important, but sustainable growth must be supported by the right people, systems and expertise. These appointments ensure we are well positioned to continue delivering measurable results for our owners and strengthening the performance of every hotel we operate.”
